My Record

'My Record' acts as your online personal portal to library resources. You can log on 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to "My Record" which provides you with a number of customized features to help you to make the most of the library service.

To make use of many of the online services you should log on at the start of your session to avoid having to log on again for each of the facilities listed below.

Logging on

To access you will need to go to the My Record home page and log on using the details that reflect your library account:

• Your name as it is on your staff / student card
• Your number as it is on your library record/ student card
• Your self assigned PIN number— you need to assign this to yourself the first time you log on, by following the on screen instructions.

• Assign yourself a PIN
• Get PIN help
• Reset my PIN - request a new PIN

Please note you only need to log on to 'My Record ' once in any browser session, ie if you stay logged in you will not need to log in again to access the details of your account and the above services.

	Search other libraries for materials before you visit them, or for materials to request. - Search several libraries at once
Ask a librarian	Ask a librarian for subject help - Find out who your subject librarian is
Assignment calculator	Use the assignment calculator to help plan your assignments - Plan your assignment now
	Use the Inter Library Loan Search and Submission Form to start the process of submitting an inter library loan(ILL) - Find out how to place an inter library loan request
Downloads	Use the downloads page to add the library's search bar to firefox, the zotero bibliography maker - and more. - Check out the downloads now
Comments/ Suggestions	Send the library your comments via Facebook or Twitter or email the library
Help	Find the library help pages - Go to the library help pages
	Make and check on your ratings. - Find out more about the My Ratings feature
	View your reading history, and use the information to create you bibliography / references for your assignments. A reading history is automatically kept on your account. You may opt out of this service if you wish.
	Save records to lists. While logged in, you can save records from the catalogue to a list by clicking on save to list. You can have as many lists as you like, and name them as needed.
