The library offers a range of services based around the subjects that are taught by our academic departments.

Our subject guides have been specially compiled to give staff and students an insight into their specific area of study.

Subject Internet Gateways

Our Subject Internet Gateways have been compiled by the Subject Liaison Librarian for the area, and are aimed at reducing the amount of time that our users will have to spend searching for information on the Internet.

These guides include the following listings:

  • Free Peer Reviewed Online Journals
  • Professional Organisations

Academic Staff are encouraged to contribute to the content of these pages. To recommend a Web Site for inclusion, please feel free to contact us.

Subject Liaison Librarians

Each of the Institute's academic departments has a designated liaison librarian. They are available to both staff and students for:

  • Information skills training
  • Assistance with research
  • Instruction on how to use our online resources
  • Advice on finding quality information on the World Wide Web
  • Advice on material selection and acquisition
