Membership of Library ITT Dublin

Membership of the library at ITT Dublin is automatically open to all registered students on ITT Dublin courses, and you can begin using the library the day after you register.

Membership is also available to all ITT Dublin staff. By coming into the library with your staff details you can be set up to use all the library's facilities.

Borrowing Entitlements for registered library users.

Please note all library members are subject to library regulations.

Other types of membership are also available but do not have the same level of access to all facilities due to licensing and copyright provisions.

These include:

Alumni

Membership of the library at ITT Dublin is open to Alumni. An annual membership fee of €25 applies. As an Alumni you may access the library facilities and are entitled to borrow 2 items of library materials for 3 weeks. The library may be used for study and research purposes, and all material may be viewed within the library building.
Please note that under the terms of our user licenses with publishers, some electronic resources are not available to alumni.

External Reader

As an external reader you may access the library facilities but are not entitled to borrow material. The library may be used for study and research purposes, and all material may be viewed within the library building.

External users cannot use photocopying or printing facilities. External Reader fee

External Borrower

As an external borrower you may access the library facilities and are entitled to borrow 2 items of library materials for 3 weeks. The library may be used for study and research purposes, and all material may be viewed within the library building.

Please note we can only accept exact amount as we do not keep change.
All applications must be verified before membership will be granted.
Proof of identity and proof of address are required.

DIT and ITB

DIT and IT Blanchardstown students and staff may visit the library at ITT Dublin by producing their ID cards. They may use the study spaces and print materials for reference purposes. Whilst here, they may also access their own library's online resources by connecting to their institution's Eduroam service on their own mobile device, laptop, mobile phone etc. and logging on to their own library website.
Books cannot be borrowed and the library may refuse admission during busy times (such as exams) but that will be kept to a minimum.

Wifi Access

External users can apply to be set up with wifi access when in the Library. It takes about two weeks after they hand in the application. Contact the library

Eduroam

Visitors from institutions participating in the Eduroam scheme may access their resources at ITT Dublin.

Walk In Access Service

Members of the public can register to get walk in access to the library's subscription resources, for private or educational use, see the Walk In Service page for more details.
